Swepart Transmission AB is a privately owned company with approximately 240 employees. Swepart is a modern and competitive manufacturer of both customer-specific gearboxes and precision-engineered gears and other transmission components for industry and vehicles. In collaboration with our customers, we take full responsibility for the development, design, and manufacturing of components and transmission solutions. We have factories in Liatorp, north of Älmhult, and in Sibbhult, north of Kristianstad. We are owned by Merlinum AB, a family company in Ljungby.

Examples of tasks:

  • Develop and design components and systems within power transmission
  • Perform technical calculations and simulations to ensure strength and function
  • Technical preparation of new manufacturing projects
  • Participate in customer projects from the idea stage to finished solution
  • Provide technical advice and collaborate with internal departments
  • Document and follow up according to internal standards and customer requirements

Your skills and experience

You have an education as a civil engineer or equivalent with relevant work experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry. You are comfortable with computer-aided design and have an easy time learning new software. If you have experience from the automotive industry, we consider it an advantage.

As you will work as a requirements setter, both with suppliers and in projects as well as with demanding customers, we prefer that you have a natural business sense with a good ability to set requirements for both suppliers and customers. Good knowledge of the English language is required, both spoken and written.

Your personal qualities

On a personal level, it is important that you are open and have an easy time creating good relationships with people around you. You have a positive attitude, a strong initiative, and enjoy working closely with customers. You have a curious personality, with an analytical mindset and are driven to tackle and solve arising issues, especially technical ones. A strong technical interest is fundamental for this position.
